One particular area we are currently addressing together is the needs of the new housing areas in Telford.
As a sponsoring body for local ecumenism, Telford Christian Council supports local ecumenical projects in and near Telford, as well as encouraging the local Churches Together groups and other ways in which churches of different traditions can work together. We provide a number of voluntary chaplains in the world of work, including Ironbridge Power Station, GKN Autostructures and Wheels, Telford Spun Yarns, Primary Care Trust, Telford Police Division and in the Telford Shopping Centre.
The Council established Telford Christian Council Supported Housing, known as Stay, which works in partnership with other agencies in providing a structured succession of supported accommodation for vulnerable and young people.

The 'Wear Next' Charity Shop is located in Oakengates and is a part of Telford Christian Council Trading Limited. All of Wear Next's profits are covenanted to support the work of the Telford Christian Council and Stay.

Chairs and Spares is a Telford Christian Council and Stay sponsored furniture recycling social enterprise. It provides low cost recycled furniture from its warehouse at Unit 2, St. Georges Road Industrial Estate, Donnington Telford, TF2 7QZ.
